Ivanhoe Cambridge Invests In The Communities They Serve
The Opportunity
Ivanhoe Cambridge is a real estate subsidiary of the Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec, one of Canada’s leading institutional fund managers. Its portfolio consists mainly of shopping centres, office and multi residential properties. They invest in the communities they serve by supporting various organizations and causes. As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy, Ivanhoe Cambridge has adopted a Corporate donation and Sponsorship policy designed to optimize the impact of its commitment to organizations active in the communities where they do business. One way they show their support is through their idea and creation of a community kiosk.
Our Task
To provide a kiosk from concept to Completion for CrossIron Mall in Balzac, Alberta that provided both a dedicated space for non-profit organizations in the community as well as create space for a tourist information centre.
The Solution
Working closely with the Marketing and Operations team in CrossIron Mall, we created designs that would work well with the unique Mall décor and fit within the Customer Service area. A brochure containment system was designed into the kiosk and materials were chosen that fit within the targeted budget.
The Results
The new kiosk was installed with a beautiful and functional area dedicated to the non-profit community with a media centre incorporated for event messaging and promotion. Customer Service received the area they needed for both local and provincial tourism literature.
